European Union and New Zealand sign an Agreement for Scientific & Technological Cooperation

On 16 July, the European Union and New Zealand signed an Agreement for Scientific and Technological Cooperation.

Valérie Pécresse, Minister for Higher Education and Research, Janez Potočnik, European Commissioner in charge of Science and Research, on behalf of the European Union, and Peter Douglas Kennedy, Ambassador of New Zealand to the European Union, have today, Wednesday July 16th, signed an agreement for co-operation on science and technology between the European Union and New Zealand.

This agreement will enable scientific co-operation to be intensified in all areas but especially in those relating to health, food, the environment and energy.
