What does it mean to be a European citizen ?

On the occasion of the European Civic Forum in La Rochelle (from 4 to 6 September), Touteleurope.fr is launching a debate, inviting people to express their vision of this citizenship via an online questionnaire.
The questionnaire comprises ten questions on:
- the foundations of European citizenship? What unites Europeans? What are the most important rights associated with their common citizenship?
- Exercising this citizenship: How can one get the most out of European citizenship? What can we expect from the European elections in June 2009?
- the future of European citizenship: how can it be enhanced? Will it end up replacing national citizenship in the long run?
The results of this questionnaire will be made public at the end of November 2008 at the European Salon of Education and be subject to analysis and commentary, notably from the responsible French and European politicians.
