Seminar on "European priorities and proposals for the financial services industry"

The Eurofi think tank is holding a seminar on financial services on 10 - 12 September.

The aim of this seminar is to debate issues relating to a more robust integration of financial services and their supervision from the perspective of both the financial industry and the consumer. A wide range of subjects will be discussed during the plenary sessions and workshops, including the integration of retail financial services, the harmonisation of prudential banking regulation and the draft directive relating to the "Solvency II" prudential insurance regulations. Other topics on the agenda include the improved supervision of cross-border groups, the simplification of procedures for collective investment schemes, the implementation of "SEPA" common payment instruments in Europe and microcredit. Many high-level figures and ministers are expected to attend.
