Declaration by the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the attack on Amisom soldiers in Somalia

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack on the troops of the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) that killed two soldiers and injured seven others in Mogadishu on 15 September.
It conveys its condolences to the families and loved ones of the soldiers killed in this attack.
The Presidency of the Council of the European Union reaffirms its support for AMISOM and calls on all the parties to respect the Djibouti Agreement and the desire of the Somalian people to restore peace to their country.
