General Assembly of "Missing Children Europe"

The General Assembly of "Missing Children Europe" will be held in Paris on 18-20 September 2008.
"Missing Children Europe" is the European Federation for missing and sexually exploited children. It comprises a network of 21 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) which work in 15 Member States of the European Union to combat cases of missing and/or sexually exploited children.
The Federation's General Assembly will take place in Paris on 18-20 September within the context of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The meetings during the General Assembly will be held in closed session but a press conference will be organised on 19 September.
As a platform for 21 NGOs, the mission of "Missing Children Europe" is to:
- develop European tools to combat cases of missing and sexually exploited children;
- share best practices;
- provide representation of its members at the European institutions;
- cooperate with other international associations such as the Washington-based International Center for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC).
