Declaration by the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the attack in Damascus on 27 September

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union strongly condemns the car bomb attack in Damascus on Saturday morning that killed at least seventeen people and injured many others.
It conveys its condolences to the victims’ families and expresses its solidarity to the Syrian people and authorities at this difficult time. Everything must be done to shed light on this terrorist act. The perpetrators must be pursued and brought to justice.
