Conference: "Legislation regulating veterinary products: opportunities for improvement"

This conference aims to identify the problems encountered with European legislation regulating veterinary products and to propose solutions that can be introduced by 2009.
European legislation on veterinary medicines was amended in 2004. The Member States and stakeholders have since noted certain practical problems with its implementation. As a result, these difficulties need to be taken into consideration, analysed and proposals made to improve the situation. The aim of this conference will be to help identify these problems encountered in the application of the current regulations and to put forward firm and consensual measures that may be incorporated into the relevant directives and regulations by 2009.
