Better communicating on the European Security and Defence Policy

How can the European Security and Defence Policy best be explained to citizens? The directors of communication of the defence ministries of the Member States will explore different approaches in a coming reunion.
The meeting of the communication directors of the European defence ministries on 14 and 15 October next in Paris will examine how best to effectively explain the European Security and Defence Policy to the public. The meeting will be an opportunity for the communication directors to develop their relationships to create a more efficient network between the Member States. They will also discuss ways to strengthen their links with the European institutions such as the Council and the Commission and with the different bodies of the ESDP and examine the French proposals to this end. Lastly, the directors will assess previous and prospective communication actions on the ESDP.
