Meeting "Europe: intersecting cultures"
Europe : cultures croisées
- On: 03.12.2008
- In: Paris, Auditorium Colbert
The meeting "Europe: intersecting cultures" will bring together European cultural experts (historians, journalists, teachers, etc.) who together will endeavour to find new ways to develop European interculturality through developing the understanding European peoples have of their neighbours (mobility, dialogue and exchanges).
Moderated by Anette Gerlach, a journalist from Arte, a Franco-German television channel, the debates will be based on the results of a study on 'cultural references', conducted using the same methods in Germany, Italy and France, and which could be extended to all the EU Member States.
The topics addressed during the meeting include "The web of diasporas", "Taking stock of Erasmus", "European neigbours in teaching", "Cultural Europe: a question of networks", "Translating great European works", etc.
