There will be a 'Social inclusion - European experiences' day in Paris on 5 December in Paris, under the auspices of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

This event is organised by the French Act Against Exclusion Foundation (Fondation Agir contre l'exlusion - FACE) and will bring together the main European economic actors to share and compare their experiences in the area of corporate social responsibility. It follows on from the 'decentralised day' of 20 November, also devoted to the topic of social inclusion, taking place in five cities (Lille, Lyons, Montpellier, Paris, Rennes) and taking stock of five major areas, which will be examined at this event on 5 December.

The aims of this event are to:
- demonstrate the will of companies of all sizes to take definite action to combat all forms of exclusion, particularly in sensitive urban areas, and to mobilise the unused skills for the economy ;
- contribute to reinforcing an entrepreneurial spirit in the social sphere ;
- contribute to changing the image of companies who act in favour of social inclusion ;
- present and merge best practices implemented in this area by companies in different countries and identify the determining facilitating elements.

The programme is divided into three parts:

- a time to meet the actors in the form of a salon for social inclusion in Europe, i.e. an area devoted to presenting the actions taken by the partners of this European day and by other actors from the social inclusion arena;

- a time for discussions, exchanges and debate on the following:

  • European practices on social inclusion and their outlooks, summaried by two expert speakers (one French, one European) ;
  • examples of European best practices, presented by the companies that use them ;

- a time for presenting and discussing the European call for European companies to take action to promote employment in disadvantaged areas.
