The French Presidency of the Council of the European Union has made the health and welfare of young people one of its priorities in the field of youth. In this context, a resolution will be presented to the Education, Youth and Culture (EYC) Council bringing together the ministers for youth of the 27 Member States on 20 and 21 November.
This seminar, jointly organised by the French Presidency, the European Commission and the Council of Europe within the framework of the “Youth Partnership”, aims to contribute to the implementation of the resolution's policy orientations by highlighting the latest advances in research on young people's health and welfare.
It will bring together around a hundred participants, including researchers, representatives from Member States and the European Commission, members of European youth associations and NGOs working on health issues.
The seminar will review the situation in Europe, promote best practices at national, regional and European level and draw up political and practical recommendations for improving the current state of affairs while helping young people, particularly the most vulnerable, to take responsibility for their own health.
