Statement of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union On Georgia And The Geneva Process

The third session of the international discussions on Georgia will take place in Geneva on 17 and 18 December.
The Presidency of the Council of the European Union hopes that the parties will take a positive and constructive approach to this meeting in order to enable the adoption of measures that will contribute to stabilising the security situation on the ground.
This third session will concern security stability and the status of displaced people and refugees. As agreed at the last meeting, the representatives of the European Union, United Nations and the OSCE will propose to the parties the institution of mechanisms to prevent and resolve incidents.
