Orly and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airportsArpad Daradics was born in Targu Mures in Romania in 1964 and became a Hungarian citizen in 1991. Today, he lives and works in Budapest and is a member of the Hungarian Creative Artists Association and the MAMU Association. He studied music and fine arts at the Targu Mures School of Fine Arts as well as at the University Ion Andreescu in Cluj-Napoca in Romania. He finished his training at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest. The artist has already exhibited in many countries across all five continents.
In 2004, Arpad Daradics was awarded third prize at the Annual International Festival for Printed Art in Lessedra, in Bulgaria. The following year he received the Hungarian Academy Rome prize. In 2007, he was awarded the Prize of Excellence at the second Medial Art Biennial in Great Britain. Arpad works with hand and computer drawings, old photographs, painting and sculpture. In his works, he shows an aggressive irony through often provocative ideas. His series entitled "Red Stories" made him famous in 2002.
