Orly and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airportsRuth Huimerind was born in 1956 in Parnu in Estonia. She studied at the University of Arts in Tallinn in the design department. Today she is a member of the Union of Estonian Artists and the Union of Estonian Graphic Artists (EGDU). Her works have been exhibited time and time again, as much at solo exhibitions as through international events bringing together artists from all over the world. She has exhibited in Germany, Sweden, Latvia, Finland, Russia, the United States, Czech Republic, France and Great Britain. She has won many prizes, in particular for her editorial creations, winning trophies for the best Estonian designer many times over the last ten years. In 2006, she was awarded the Grand Prize of the Baltic Book Fair, after coming second in 2004. Femininity and the image of woman are at the centre of her work.
