The French Centre National de la Cinématographie, Orange and Cultures France are putting European cinema in the spotlight and inviting 27 film-makers from the European Union to coincide with their films being released onto French screens.

This initiative, which aims to strengthen the diversity and visibility of European films in French cinemas, is being coordinated by Europa Cinémas and is enabling French distributors to benefit from support for the release of non-French European films during the second half of 2008. When it is released into cinemas, film-makers are invited to come and introduce their film for the first time ever to the public, local authorities and the local press.
