The new forms of group housing in Europe constitute an action programme focusing on the theme of group housing at European level.

Objective:

promote architectural quality to be used in communal housing

show how group housing constitutes a response to the urgent need for sustainable development (as an alternative to urban spread)

bring out the singularity and plurality of the European identities

New forms of group housing in Europe mean 4 original kinds of action:

> an exhibition
The exhibition, designed and produced by arc en rêve, offers an inventory of group housing in Europe

> a colloquium
The colloquium, organised in Bordeaux, will think about the subject of group housing. The topics will be discussed with theoreticians (philosophers, anthropologists…) and the players with the development players (elected officials, promoters, architects, town planners, landscapers…).

> publication
A work presents a selection of the projects chosen for the exhibition (with notices by experts, photographs, theoretical viewpoints, critics or manifestos, associated with a general approach to the question of housing in European cities).

> a game-enquiry / living in Europe
Launched by arc en rêve for the benefit of young publics in various European countries, this programme enables children and young people to exchange views and to discuss and compare their city and architecture practices
