EXHIBITIONS:

• "Jean Cocteau draws Europe"
In 1961, two years before his death, Jean Cocteau became passionate about a project for European stamps entitled "Europe is my homeland, I believe in Europe", initiated by manufacturer and publisher Mario Sciaky. Jean Cocteau, who was not in the habit of drawing attention to his political views, produced three particularly pure drawings especially for it, in a real ode to European fraternity. They revealed Cocteau's unique style, his generosity and, what was little known, his early commitment to the fight for a European Union. The prints were loaned to Cosmopolis by the Maison de l'Europe in Nantes.

• "Europe between citizenship and globalization"
This installation revisits part of the "C'est notre histoire! 50 ans d'aventure européenne" (It's our history! Fifty years of European adventure) exhibition which came to an end last May in Brussels to mark the launch of the Musée de l'Europe. Through the five issues proposed to kick off the debate, Cosmopolis invites us to consider globalization from a European perspective:
o Experiencing globalization without sacrificing social protection
o Respecting the environment without sacrificing development
o Ensuring security without sacrificing fundamental freedoms
o Controlling migration patterns without sacrificing the right to asylum or Europe's labour requirements
o Education which must be effective
Five short films which do not beat around the bush illustrate the five issues.
