Hip hop courses at the National Centre for Dance
The hip hop culture is at the heart of a joint Franco-German project. The start point for this outstanding event: the revival of "Once upon a time" by the Berlin choreographer Storm, an educational project presented at the National Centre for Dance in November 2007 and built around a group of six French and German professional young dancers, which was produced in Berlin then in Pantin. Joined in each town by a group of amateurs trained in the place of Storm and his team. The loop goes full circle bringing together the two groups of youngsters, after two weeks of rehearsals at the National Centre for Dance.
The project is a trigger for a large scale event combining hip hop in its many forms: shows by French and German companies, grafs and jams will take over the impressive Palais de Chaillot while at the National Centre for Dance a "Hip Hop Europe" course will take place with dancers from all over the continent.
An unforgettable time ahead, as much for the shows chosen from among the most creative as for the incredible explosion of energy that will vibrate throughout the three days on the Chaillot hill!
