The Trans are one of the forward posts for observing and discovering the music scene on a worldwide scale.
The festival was the first to feature performers who are now inescapable household names such as Etienne Daho, Stephan Eicher, La Mano Negra, Rachid Taha, Nirvana, Björk, Portishead, Ben Harper, Beck, Noir Désir, Lenny Kravitz, Yann Tiersen, Dyonisos, Gotan Project, Röyksopp, Amp Fiddler, Goldfrapp, Kasabian, Nosfell, Mattafix, Tiga, Clap your hands say yeah, Birdy Nam Nam, Missill, Justice, Razorlight, Klaxons, Albert Hammond Jr, Cassius, Peter Van Poehl, The Do, Calvin Harris, Tuung, Simian Mobile Disco...
In addition, as of 1981, the Trans threw the festival wide open to groups from other European countries.
This year, for the 30th version, the Transmusicales will particularly honor groups from all over Europe.
Some films and exhibitions will describe new developments on the current European scene.
