A visit focused on two themes: renewable energy and the aeronautical and defence industry
European Union Member States' Ambassadors in Spain met the President of the Regional Government of Andalusia Manuel Chaves on 1 and 2 October for a working visit of his region focused on two themes: renewable energy and the aeronautic and defence industry. To this end, they visited the Sanlucar la Mayor solar platform that houses the first solar powered thermoelectric plant, Aeropolis Technology Park in Andalusia and the new EADS CASA plant where the new A400M military transport aircraft will be built. The A400M addresses the needs jointly expressed by eight European air forces for a new generation military transport aeroplane.
