To mark the 5th anniversary of the implementation of the EU-Chili Association Agreement, the French foreign ministry and the European Commission delegation in Chili organised a seminar to review the progress achieved over the past five years on 28 November.
Alejandro Foxley, Chilean foreign minister, Maryse Bossière, French ambassador to Chili and representative of the French EU Presidency, and Stefano Sannino, Latin America director for the European Commission's external relations directorate, opened the seminar.
Chili, together with Mexico, is the only Latin American country to have an association agreement with the EU. The aim of the agreement is to deepen relations between Chili and EU on the basis of three pillars: political dialogue, trade and cooperation.
