Orly and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airportsRadovan Jenko was born in Celje in Slovenia. He now lives and works in Ljubljana. In 1981 he graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in poster creation and painting. Since 1991 he has taught at the University of Ljubljana and the Academy of Fine Arts and Graphic Art. In addition to his teaching commitment, he creates posters, calenders, books and logos paying particular attention to illustration.
Radovan Jenko has won many prizes. In particular, he won the Special Jury Prize at the Taiwan International Poster Design Awards. His works have been shown at numerous international festivals, poster biennials and triennials throughout the world. Some of his posters feature in the permanent collections of museums such as the Israel Museum in Jerusalem or the Wilanow Poster Museum in Warsaw. He has had two monographs dedicated to him, one in 1999 and the other more recently in 2005 published by LaLook.
